Its paisley print might not be authentically Spanish, but it makes this simply designed one-piece so eye-catching. In bold blues and green the pattern attracts attention, but unlike so many loud prints this one shouldn’t date. Paisley has been around since the 1880s after all, so I wouldn’t expect it to fall out of favor.
Tommy Bahama flatters our figure without discomfort with this innovative wire-free design. Firm mesh lining in the body smooths the tummy area and hides extra pounds. Gentle padding in the cups boosts curves while providing vital support. The pretty shirring isn’t just an aesthetic element either; it also accentuates the waistline to create an enviable beach silhouette.
I’m disappointed that there’s no detachable strap as we see in so many bandeau style one-piece swimsuits though. While this strapless swimsuit is very sexy, I can’t imagine it’ll feel very secure once the hit the waves. A simple shoestring strap would have offered some real peace of mind.
At $142 this Tommy Bahama swimsuit is no bargain, but it’s not unreasonable for such a well-designed one-piece.
