Hurley plays it safe with this Puerto Rico Rashguard.
I thought Hurley might have injected some of the spice of the Caribbean region into this surf top, but it’s taken a different route. This rashguard is as pedestrian as they come, with a bold white logo popping against the basic black fabric.
While its styling may leave a bit to be desired, it’s hard to fault the Puerto Rico on a functional level. Hurley’s made the rashguard from a blend of nylon and spandex, a classic choice which allows for easy movement in the water, and quick drying once you’re back on the sand. It’s also simple to care for. Just pop it in a cold water wash and it’ll be as good as new.
The fabric also ensures we can get just what we need from this rash guard. During the summer months it’ll give you more protection in the surf than a regular swimsuit. Keen beachgoers will also enjoy the extra warmth it provides when winter rolls around.
This rashguard gets the job done, but it doesn’t do it with a lot of pizazz. At $41 it’s quite affordable, and that might be enough to convince girls on a budget. But the rest of us are likely to want something more.
