Gottex shows its wild side with this African inspired Madagascar swimsuit.
This is one of Gottex’s most dramatic swimsuits. If the label’s mattes seem too tame for you, you’ll likely love the clash of stylized zebra print with tribal patterned trim. We’ve seen Gottex offer a few patterns before, but they were much more traditional than this bold design. Whether you think it’s too much or perfect is a matter of personal taste, but it’s great to see Gottex offering women more choice.
While the print will polarize, the Madagascar has all the features women can agree on. This swimsuit is made to minimize problem areas and flatter assets. The soft cups enhance curves, while the tummy control construction smooths the silhouette.
The square neckline is more reserved than the typical plunging V, and that should win over conservative types. That sensible approach continues on the rear; the briefs have medium coverage and the back doesn’t dip too far down. You’ll show enough skin to avoid appearing covered up and stuffy, but not so much that you’ll feel exposed.
The slimming blend of polyamide and elastane will require some work to keep its shape though. Hand wash it to ensure you get your $124 worth.
