Warm pink, violet, and fuschia hues burst from the side of this one-piece like a fractured kaleidoscope. It’s really striking, although like so many prints I wonder whether it’ll date after a few seasons.
I’m hopeful it may endure though, as it goes its own way rather than following trends. The Delaunay’s classic style is also on its side. Its very simple shape allows the print to shine as it doesn’t compete for attention. The gentle V-neck is flattering for any figure, while the power-mesh fabric smooths the silhouette for a more streamlined look. The moulded cups and elastic under band provide the extra support active beachgoers love while enhancing curves.
If you are carrying a few extra pounds the low back may be a concern. This dip exposes the back fat that so many one-pieces cover. It’s also a little small in the bust, so curvy girls may find it doesn’t fit quite right.
At $269 the Delaunay is a very expensive one-piece, but at least that price buys your entire swimsuit. When we consider its quality it becomes a little easier to justify the splurge. Hand wash it as recommended as you could enjoy several summers from this striking Gottex creation.
