It's got a funny name, but the Waboba Extreme might be the next big toy to hit the beach.
It looks something like a tennis ball, but when you take the Waboba on the water you learn what it can really do. While other balls sink like stones when they hit the drink, the Waboba actually bounces back!
At least it does in theory. The technique required is something like skipping stones, which can be difficult for kids or the uncoordinated to master. That can prove frustrating at first, but I hear that once you get the hang of it playing with the Waboba is lots of fun. Of course, you could always just throw the Waboba about like a traditional ball; it's made from polyurethane so it'll float if dropped in the water.
The makers claim the Waboba was made to handle summer punishment, but some customers complain that the cover slides about and accumulates sand. That sounds a bit inconvenient, but not a real deal breaker.
The Waboba Extreme is one of three Waboba balls, and apparently the most versatile and exciting. It'll bounce the highest and skip the farthest. That makes it a lot of fun, but also a bit of a hazard too. Players should make sure they have their guard up, because the ball can hurt on impact!
If you're game though, playing with the Waboba Extreme is a fun way to pass time at the beach.
