Guess puts sex appeal first with this sizzling Lolita Bandeau Bikini Top.

Thankfully this swim top isn't as juvenile as its name suggests. The bow is fun and flirty, but no one will mistake you for an underage nymphet while you're wearing it. The dark denim-looking spandex gives the bikini a bit of attitude, while its exposed seams make it very fashion forward.

It's not our only look though. Simply turn the Lolita over and you can enjoy an all-over floral print. This is cute, but not as comfortable as showing the denim side out. That bow will press awkwardly against your chest as it's not removable.

On a practical front I'm thrilled to see Guess opt for wide halter neck straps, rather than the skinny shoestrings we typically see. That extra substance makes them a bit sturdier, and also leaves a little less room for sunburn! The removable cups are another perk, particularly for petite girls who love a boost on the beach! But there isn't any underwire in this bikini, which is sure to disappoint bustier beauties who need some extra support.

At $47, this bikini top seems a bit expensive for half a swimsuit, but its reversible nature helps to justify the too-high price.

Rip Curl gives us two swim tops for one with this Secret Spot triangle bikini.

The secret is that this isn't simply a floral swim top, but a reversible one. We can choose between this modern floral print, or the same purple and white stripes we see on the straps. These stripes offer a more unified, classic look, but I don't think it's quite as exciting. It's horses for courses though, and refreshing to have a couple of options to suit our mood. It's also impressive to enjoy two looks at this price point. Suddenly that $41.50 price tag is looking like a real bargain.

I appreciate the reversible design, but the bikini top itself leaves me a bit cold. The simple triangle cut might flatter busty girls, but I don't think the removable cups or halter design do enough to enhance petite figures. Looking at the photo of the model it seems to flatten the chest, which is the last thing tiny girls want!

The choice of sizes is also somewhat limited. With only small, medium, and large sizes available girls at either end of the spectrum are left out in the cold. And let's face it; that's the last thing anyone wants in summer!

Roxy offers two swim tops in one with this retro Rock Steady bikini.

Each side of this bikini top is patterned with a classic print. Wear it one way to show the vertical stripes, or turn it inside out to display the tiny spots. Neither design is too original or groundbreaking, but for me that only adds to the appeal. The patterns should suit everybody, ensuring we really get the value from the reversible design.

The bikini is made from a comfortable and sun safe blend of nylon and spandex. The sizes don't run very big though, with medium being the largest option. While it ignores larger ladies at least Roxy knows what petite girls want. The halter neck style always flatters a smaller bust, and the padded cups enhance what is there.

I'm always a little wary when fashion brands sell their bikinis as separates as it often seems like an effort to gouge the customer for more money. I'm more forgiving here though, as this retro bikini top is reasonably priced at $45.95. By separating the tops and bottoms, girls can also choose from a range of matching bottoms. The reversible Lowrider tie bottoms, Sidewinder pants, and board shorts help girls create their own unique beach look.

Roxy Spot-On Reversible Orange Bikini | Polka Dot & Stripe Side-Tie Swimsuit

You'll love yourself for picking up this versatile reversible swimsuit. Take it on a trip with you, rinse it out and hang it up overnight after wearing it, and throw it back on the next day and it's a completely different suit! It fits right into the carefree lifestyle that make vacations...vacations.

And a classic print like a polka dot really makes a bikini a bikini. It would definitely be my preferred side over the stripes. Large white dots make a graphic statement against the tan-complementing orange.

The triangle top features a halter-neck tie and a string back tie which threads through the triangles giving a gathered affect below the bust in classic bikini fashion. While the triangles offer moderate coverage, a larger-chested woman will want to be careful with any triangle top.

Consider your own figure equally carefully when considering the side-tie bottom. They cut fairly low across the hips, which will surely show off abs if you've got them.

This is a very classic swimsuit style sure to appeal to a wide cross-section of women and be appropriate from the trendiest pool to the most touristy beach.
