Rip Curl clearly expected us to swoon when it named this bandeau bikini top the Lovin Ya. It might have been an arrogant move by the surf brand, but it's still got my heart skipping beats!

Yes Rip Curl, I am "lovin ya" work here. This bold purple, pink, and black colorblock design recalls the fashions of the 80s, making it simultaneously retro and right on trend. The black halter-neck straps balance out the more feminine shades on this swim top nicely, creating a look which is flirty and fabulous without seeming excessively girly.

The conservative style is sure to polarize opinions though. Athletic girls will be happy to find a bikini top that offers real support and doesn't show too much skin. However beach bunnies who prefer to spend their time tanning will wish for a much sexier cut. Personally I think the removable padding in the cups gives the Lovin Ya just enough sizzle.

At $37.95 the Lovin Ya is priced just right. Anyone nervous about the longevity of the colorblocking craze may still be concerned about spending that kind of cash. However regular beach goers should get enough wear from this bandeau top before the retro fad fades.

Color-block bathing suits will never go out of style, and this offering from the Beach Sexy swimwear collection from Victoria's Secret shows why. Fun, beachy contrasting colors look great against a tan. Okay, perhaps a bit greater if you're a Victoria's Secret model, but everyone will appreciate the affect.

While I'd appreciate more color options, this only comes in the turquoise and green shown, it's vastly made up for by the fact that you can order top and bottom sizes separately. This is so important in swimwear and Victoria's Secret are one of the few brands that have cottoned on to that fact and offer the option for most of their swimwear.

Who's to say a girl who's a 6 on top is a 6 on bottom? Now if only they would size the tops by bra size, since they are the reigning retailer of bras, to ensure the perfect fit.

I'm guessing you might want to go up a size on the bottom because these look made for some slim hips and sit straight across. They have moderate back coverage.

As for the top, there's a removable halter strap and lined cups with removable light padding. This is a flattering neckline for most body types.
