Hair Sunglasses

Hair SunglassesThrough their design company Studio Swine, British designers Alexander Groves and Azusa Murakami have created sustainable sunglasses and eyewear from an unlikely material. You’d never know it from looking at them, but these modern specs are made from human and synthetic hair!

It might sound a bit on the nose, but let’s remember that we’ve been using human and synthetic hair to make hair extensions for ages. The United Kingdom’s beauty industry important around 15 million pounds of human hair every year, so why not see it utilized by more design sectors?

I love bikinis. My favorite place to shop for bikinis is Amazon. You'll find on Amazon a great variety of high quality bikinis. Many of them from recognized brands.

There's one that has become my favorite, which is the ESONLAR Women's Sexy Plunging V Neck Bathing Suit. Mainly because it feels so smooth and soft and how well it flatters the body.

But there's 2 other ones that are great alternatives, the HYPERFIRE Women's Sexy Criss Cross Halter Bathing Suit and the CUPSHE Women's One Piece Swimsuit Sexy Deep V Neck Bathing Suit.

Groves and Murakami combines the human and synthetic hair with a green binding agent called bioresin to create their biodegradable sunglass and spectacle frames. No harmful toxins are released into the atmosphere during production, which is virtually unheard of in the world of fashion.

Right now these are merely exhibition pieces intended to explore the way that China’s booming hair industry can be put to use in brand new ways. However the practice seems to be sound. I can’t fault the material’s green credentials, and those eyewear designs are very modern.

I’d love to get my hands on some of these quirky hair sunglasses for the beach this summer. Would you wear them?
