Spalding King of the Beach Volleyball Ball

Spalding says you'll rule the sand this summer when you play with its King of the Beach volleyball ball.

This outdoor volleyball ball is crafted from soft touch composite leather, so it feels gentler on the hands than many professional balls. If you're a serious athlete that could be a disadvantage, but if you're playing with your family or friends it'll be a real plus.

Thankfully this softness doesn't mean the Spalding ball isn't strong. One customer reported that her ball survived a few run ins with a rusty barbed wire fence, so it seems it's almost as durable as Spalding claims. Just don't kick it directly as this customer's playmate did! It'll survive regular game play but it's not completely invincible.

Nevertheless, the hardy design means we're not restricted to the sand; we could set up an impromptu game in a parking lot or our own backyard.

The traditional 18 panels are machine stitched into this Spalding ball. That helps it fly true from a spike or serve. When a ball delivers that, I'm not sure amateurs really need to spend money on professional equipment. At $12, this Spalding King of the Beach ball does the job without leaving a large dent in our wallet.
