Part beach umbrella, part tent, the SKLZ Sport-Brella Umbrella gives you shade on the beach without the stress.
While many umbrellas fall over or blow away while you're enjoying yourself in the surf, the Sport-Brella will stay just where you left it. Just pop it open and you're ready to get on to more important things.
On the windiest of days you can add the included tethers and ground stakes for extra stability. I can't imagine wanting to hit the beach in a hurricane, but these security additions should suit surfers chasing the big waves.
SKLZ has coated the Sport-Brella with a UPF 50+ layer. That will protect you from most of the sun's harmful rays, although I wouldn't suggest easing off on the sunscreen. It won't help you while you're splashing about in the sea after all! Instead think of it as double protection while you're relaxing on the shore.
It can get steamy on the sand, but the Sport-Brella has you covered there too. Top wind vents and zippered side pockets help you make the most of the sea breezes. Be warned though, customers have reported it lets the rain in through these wind vents, so might not the best solution for keeping dry.
Measuring eight feet wide, the Sport-Brella is large enough to provide shade for the whole family. But it shouldn't be too cumbersome to take to the shore, as it folds up to a neat 54 x 4 x 4 inches and is sold with a convenient carrying case.
All in all a great umbrella for the beach, but it is priced slightly on the more expensive side at $69.99, but then it is pretty big. It is available in red, blue, green and camo style.
