Former President Bush may lack a lot of things; a grasp on reality is one of them for example, but what he doesn’t lack is the ability to make us laugh. There have been numerous funny or embarrassing photographs of him posted on the internet; I’m sure some of us have saved a few of them to our hard drives so we can view them every now and then and feel better about ourselves.

One of the most recent of such photographs shows a smiling President Bush at the 2008 Summer Olympics wearing a silly hat, holding a water bottle, and ogling the behind of a bikini-clad athlete. Is this bikini babe a beach volleyball player? What team is she on? Does it even matter? The answer is no. Whereas normally a male viewer’s attention would be focused on the scantily clad female in the photograph, in this case the highlight is President Bush’s expression.

The smile on his face can only mean one thing: that he is thinking naughty thoughts. Perhaps President Bush has a fetish for beach volleyball players. Perhaps he is tired from his eight years in office and all he wants is to take the lovely young lady home and have her give him a relaxing massage with a happy ending. Perhaps his fantasies are kinkier than that. We will never know. But what we do know is that for all of President Bush’s faults, he at least has the common sense not to act on his fantasies, unlike the President before him.
