Ostrich Beach ChairOstrich has created comfortable beach chairs for many years, and now with the release of its 2010 model the label may have developed its best yet.

Ostrich has listened to its fans and delivered the things they've asked for here. The chair is 2.5 inches longer than the previous model, its head pillow much softer, and its arm rests made from smooth, heat resistant bamboo. I also like the choice of matte pink and blue, or nautical blue and white stripes.

The improvements help to sell it, but Ostrich already had a pretty good product on its hands. It's adjustable to five positions, from upright beach chair to lounger. The closeable face opening means you can comfortably lie on your stomach and read a book, or pretend you're about to receive a massage!

The rust-proof frame weighs more than the previous model, which should help satisfy customers who complained it was flimsy. However, that extra bulk will make transporting it a bit more awkward, even with the addition of a carry strap.

The frame is overlaid with textline fabric, a unique material which is quick to dry and easy to clean with warm water and a mild detergent. The cloth is also resistant to stains, so you needn't worry about spilling your soda or sunscreen. Of course though, if you keep your can in the convenient cup holder you shouldn't have to worry about those spills at all!

At $129 the Ostrich lounger is definitely considered a luxury beach chair, but if you spend a lot of time lazing about in the sun it might be worth the splurge.
