James Bond Omega Watch

Swimmers can soon channel their inner James Bond on the beach thanks to Omega. The esteemed watch maker will release the Seamaster Diver, an anniversary surf watch to commemorate Bond's 50 years on the silver screen.

The watch's launch will coincide with the release of Skyfall, the 23rd James Bond film in the franchise. Not so coincidentally, Daniel Craig will wear an Omega timepiece in the flick. It's not likely to be the Seamaster Diver though. Something tells me the logo face, while sedate, would be a bit too obvious for the real 007.

However I'm sure fans will lap up the 007 monogram, and the gun-barrel design stamped on the back of the case. It's available in two different sizes. There are 3007 of the 36.2 millimeter versions at $5200. Slightly cheaper but still exorbitant is the 41 millimeter version. There are 11007 of these, and with more in circulation they're a little more attainable at $5000.

The watches are really stylish, but spending in excess of five thousand bucks on a watch seems insane. That might be chump change for the real spy, but I can't imagine too many of his fans affording the indulgence.

But if you do have a cool five kay lying around these eyecatching timepieces will make Bond-loving dads very happy this Father's Day. Look for them in stores this spring.
