Maybach Designs Luxury Sunglasses & Spectacles

German car brand Maybach is preparing to launch a signature range of shades inspired by its luxury vehicles. The Maybach collection, which was designed in conjunction with optics firm IVKO, will feature eight different sunglasses and ten spectacle frames.

The attention to detail is what will really set these shades apart. Each pair is handmade using glossy lacquered wood, carbon fiber, natural horn, and logo-embellished leather-trimmed arms. The frames, which are carefully crafted with titanium and 18-karat yellow, white, and rose gold, are equally desirable. Lenses from the glass makers at Zeiss complete the look.

We know all those luxury materials won't come cheaply, but if you've got money to burn you may want to upgrade to Maybach's Individual Collection. The custom-made frames in this range "will cater to various special requests and customization choices and feature 18K carat gold details."

The luxury Maybach sunglasses and spectacles will hit retailers around the globe in October.
