Marc Jacobs South Park Tees

Marc Jacobs is embracing his silly side with the release of a small T-shirt range bearing the images of stripped down South Park characters. Thank goodness for the strategically placed slogans!

I'm sure most of us never imagined plus-sized Eric Cartman making his fashion debut, but he appears in the buff alongside Randy Marsh and Butters Stotch on this trio of tees. Their modesty is preserved with the words "Protect Your Largest Organ," a message which hints at the serious motivation behind these fun T-shirts.

The capsule collection is all for a good cause, with money raised benefiting New York University's Interdisciplinary Melanoma Cooperative Group, a melanoma research program.

South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone are generally cautious of collaborations, according to Marc Jacobs president Robert Duffy, but it seems the charitable nature of the project won them over. To ensure the tees remained true to their design vision they took an active role in the production process.

"They were so involved, to the point of wanting to know the texture of the T-shirt and how thick the paint is on the silk screen," Duffy explained.

You can wear these cheeky charitable tees to the beach this summer for $35. Look for them at Marc by Marc Jacobs outlets and Marc Jacobs' online store.
