Line 8 Wrong Size SunglassesCutting edge fashion houses Maison Martin Margiela and the Cutler + Gross Group have joined forces to create an edgy range of sunglasses called Line 8.

The collection features two distinct styles. Firstly there are the Anatomic shades, a style of sunglasses which appear to envelope and conform to the natural contours of the face. Then there are the even quirkier Wrong Size sunglasses, a style which features lenses and mismatched frames which just don't seem to fit together.

I appreciate that these sunglasses are of the finest quality, with each pair being handmade in Italy, but I'm afraid I just can't get excited about them. It might seem far too practical for the fashion world, but I still believe sunglasses should exist to protect our eyes. I can't see these Line 8 shades, particularly those Wrong Size glasses, doing that. Would you wear them?

The Maison Martin Margiela and Cutler + Gross collection will be unveiled later this month at Paris' Silmo trade show ahead of their release at Maison Martin Margiela boutiques and selected Cutler + Gross stores in November.
