Lulu Guinness Designs Uniqlo T-Shirts

Lulu Guinness has lent her creative talents to Uniqlo's latest limited edition U.T. T-shirt collection.

The new Uniqlo tees feature familiar Lulu Guinness images, including quirky cats, the London city skyline, a playful doll face, and her iconic lips and cameo patterns. Lulu Guinness' famous slogans including "Put your pearls on girls" have also found their way onto the shirts. There are 14 different designs in all, with messages and motifs rendered with a bold black, white, and lipstick red color palette. They're all very girly, but that's just what we'd expect from a line created by the incomparable Ms Guinness!

Uniqlo has a long history of working with other creative artists on small capsule collections. Its previous collaborations include lines with Laura Ashley, Jil Sander, Costello Tagliapietra, Vena Cava, and Orla Kiely.

The Lulu Guinness for Uniqlo T-shirts hit stores this week and already some designs are beginning to disappear from shelves. However with supplies limited and prices set at a low $19.90 the public's enthusiasm for the range is hardly surprising.
