Laura Poretzy Returns with Ete Swim | Swimwear Designer Launches Comeback Collection

42 sec read

Laura Poretzky has returned to the swimwear world with her new collection, dubbed Ete Swim after the French word for summer.

Poretzky made a name for herself in the early naughties with Abaete, a swimsuit line inspired by her summers spent in Rio. The range grew to establish a cult following and feature ready-to-wear apparel, until its demise in 2010. Poretzy took a design hiatus when she married musician Diego Garcia and gave birth to their child, but with the launch of Ete she’s back.

I love bikinis. My favorite place to shop for bikinis is Amazon. You'll find on Amazon a great variety of high quality bikinis. Many of them from recognized brands.

There's one that has become my favorite, which is the ESONLAR Women's Sexy Plunging V Neck Bathing Suit. Mainly because it feels so smooth and soft and how well it flatters the body.

But there's 2 other ones that are great alternatives, the HYPERFIRE Women's Sexy Criss Cross Halter Bathing Suit and the CUPSHE Women's One Piece Swimsuit Sexy Deep V Neck Bathing Suit.

Poretzy developed the Ete line in collaboration with Lily Dickerson Maddock, the former head of knitwear firm liDi. The twosome’s swimsuits reflect a combination of their American and European backgrounds. The styles, which have simple, minimalist lines and prints, were inspired by classic beach beauties like Brigette Bardot and Romy Schneider. They represent a lovely blend of contemporary design and vintage elements that shouldn’t date.

Poretzy and Dickerson Maddock were introduced by Moda Operandi’s cofounder Lauren Santo Domingo, so it made sense to launch the Ete Swim exclusively through her online designer shopping destination. The Ete swimsuits are on the expensive side at between $230 and $300, but they’re not unreasonable for high end beachwear.
