Juicy Couture’s signature blend of pink, velour and rhinestones has never appealed to me, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the sophistication of its swimsuit range. The Little Lulu is another shining example of this high quality collection.
Despite its cutesy name, the Little Lulu has a real grown-up, contemporary feel to it. Its black and white color combination is classic, but its intricate print makes it feel much more modern. This pattern creates a clever illusion, giving the swimsuit the appearance of delicately lacey lingerie without sacrificing any of our modesty.

It might seem strange to call a white swimsuit modest, but hear me out. Traditionally this color becomes transparent once it’s wet, leaving very little to the imagination. But here the print is strategically placed so we can retain our dignity. The removable padding in the bust should also make this suit less opaque when it’s in place.
Considering how the way Juicy Couture positions itself as a youthful fashion brand, it’s impressive to see the way it embraces girls of all sizes. Unlike so many labels, it offers the Little Lulu in sizes from petite through to extra large.
It’s also reasonably priced. While you’ll have to buy some briefs or board shorts to pair it with, this swim top is still an affordable start to your summer outfit at $59.99.
