Joie Bahamas Tunic

Joie Bahamas TunicIt might be called the Bahamas, but Joie seems to be channeling Indian fashion with this beach cover-up.

It’s got a bit of an identity crisis, but the Bahamas still manages to make a strong style statement. Intricate embroidery along the plunging neckline and cuffs pops against the gauzy white fabric. Joie doesn’t make any assurances about this material’s sun smart credentials, but it should keep most harmful UV rays out. Even though it’s quite protective the fabric is also lightweight, so it’ll help you keep your cool even when the mercury’s rising.

I love bikinis. My favorite place to shop for bikinis is Amazon. You'll find on Amazon a great variety of high quality bikinis. Many of them from recognized brands.

There's one that has become my favorite, which is the ESONLAR Women's Sexy Plunging V Neck Bathing Suit. Mainly because it feels so smooth and soft and how well it flatters the body.

But there's 2 other ones that are great alternatives, the HYPERFIRE Women's Sexy Criss Cross Halter Bathing Suit and the CUPSHE Women's One Piece Swimsuit Sexy Deep V Neck Bathing Suit.

The fabric requires a little maintenance, but it shouldn’t be too hard to take care of while you’re on vacation. It’ll survive a trip through the washing machine if you turn it inside out, and you can tumble dry it as long as you set the machine on low. I like the crinkled effect that comes when the Bahamas just out of the wash, but it can also tolerate a cool iron if you prefer a more pressed finish.

The price is likely to be the kicker. At $198 it’s a lot more expensive than many similar cover-ups on the market. Its elaborate embroidery helps make it worth the money, but it’s still a lot to spend on an apparel item that will only make appearances during summer.
