DKNY add some extra exotic style to traditional flip flops with these Sarasota shoes.
These luxury beach shoes raise the bar with their soft and stylish cork footbed and snakeskin printed leather straps. These chartreuse yellow straps are subtly accented with a gold-toned DKNY logo. Donna Karan's New York based label is often obnoxious with its large ostentatious logos, so this tiny nod to the brand comes as a refreshing change of pace.
While the contoured cork feels heavenly on our feet right from the time of purchase, it's not the best wearing material. DKNY knows this, so it wraps the cork in a rubber outer sole. This sole isn’t just durable; it's also lightly textured for extra traction, a real plus for active beach goers.
These Sarasota thongs are a cut above your average pair of flip flops, but they're still a fairly casual pair of shoes. They'd look adorable paired with a maxi-dress for a summer barbecue or pool party, but I wouldn't suggest wearing them to a swanky restaurant or red carpet gala, no matter what the season.
If you like them though, I hope you have the right sized foot. Amazon only offers them in size 6 and 7, so those with feet larger or smaller than the average may be disappointed.
