Diesel SunglassesDiesel recently launched its new spring/summer 2012 sunglasses and optical collection designed in conjunction with eyewear specialists Marcolin. It celebrated the milestone with a private party in Paris on October 1.

Despite working closely with Marcolin, the new shades reflect Diesel's contemporary image. The designs are bold, with a healthy dose of rock and roll styling.

There are ten women's styles, 11 male varieties, and seven unisex ones for couples that love to share. They feature modern military colors, Diesel's iconic shapes and graphic elements, contrasting shiny and matte textures, and the brand's famous Mohican logo.

Unfortunately details are a little thin on the ground leading up to the release of these new shades. No prices have been released, and this photo is the only one I've seen of the new styles. Its funky cut-out frames are enough to make me interested in what comes next though!

Diesel and Marcolin are committed to producing sunglasses and optical frames together for the next four years. The two brands work so well together that I wouldn't be surprised to see their agreement extended once that deal's up.

Diesel's spring/summer 2012 sunglasses and spectacles will be sold at Diesel stores, other high-end department stores, and optometrists around the world.
