Chanel has released a fun new sunglasses collection which is sure to receive plenty of attention on the beach.
These distinctive shades are not for shy retiring types. Each one of the fourteen pairs in the Chanel Boutique Exclusives has its own unique character.
I love the mystery of these Chanel Masquerade Ball sunglasses (pictured right), even if the shades aren't entirely practical for beachwear.
If you'd prefer to go hands-free (and a bit closer to normal), consider the pale gold aviator sunglasses with their sheath of wheat "eyebrows," the oval acetate frames with their quirky cut-out lenses, or the uniquely shaped Baroque inspired shades (pictured below).
There's certainly a place for classic eyewear, but the Chanel Boutique Exclusives collection reminds us that there's also a place for fun.
By resisting current trends, they're not going to date as quickly as sunglasses which follow fashion. In fact, they're likely to work for many seasons to come. That's a good thing too when you're buying Chanel. The French fashion house's website doesn't reveal any prices, but if I know this luxury brand these new sunglasses won't come cheaply.
