Chanel 5138 Sunglasses

Chanel 5138 SunglassesSometimes it feels like high end designers simply rest on their laurels rather than pushing the fashion envelope. Looking at this pair of Chanel sunglasses is one of those times.

There’s no real charm or pizzazz to them. The frames are black and frankly boring, and the colored Chanel logo is the only thing bringing life to them. The rainbow lettering adds interest, but it doesn’t really rev me. Frankly it appears childish, and that’s not really the image that I expect for this kind of money.

I love bikinis. My favorite place to shop for bikinis is Amazon. You'll find on Amazon a great variety of high quality bikinis. Many of them from recognized brands.

There's one that has become my favorite, which is the ESONLAR Women's Sexy Plunging V Neck Bathing Suit. Mainly because it feels so smooth and soft and how well it flatters the body.

But there's 2 other ones that are great alternatives, the HYPERFIRE Women's Sexy Criss Cross Halter Bathing Suit and the CUPSHE Women's One Piece Swimsuit Sexy Deep V Neck Bathing Suit.

The style is billed as unisex, but I can’t imagine any man wearing sunglasses with such vibrant branding. Then again, I can’t imagine any mature woman flocking to these sunglasses either. The look seems ideal for tweens and early teens, but unless they’re cashed-up Hollywood kids they probably can’t afford to wear them.

It seems that Chanel needs only slap its name on something to demand the big bucks. That’s the only reason I can think for these shades to cost $579 retail. That’s a whole chunk of change to spend on anything, but it’s far too much to spend on an accessory so pedestrian. Even Chanel fans will probably admit that this isn’t the French fashion house’s best work.
