Celebrities Design Mommy & Me Havaianas Flip Flops | Courtney Cox, Tori Spelling & More Make Charity Shoes

A host of celebrity moms have joined forces with Havaianas for a good cause. Courtney Cox, Rebecca Romijn, Tori Spelling, and Nina Garcia have each designed a cute pair of Mommy and Me flip flops.

The Mommy and Me flip flops are affordably priced at $26 for the adult pairs and $19 for the complementary kids shoes. Ten percent of the sales will benefit Baby Buggy, a charity which provides families with the clothes, education services, and other items essentials for taking children from infants to teenagers.

Baby Buggy's executive director Katherine Snider said she was grateful for the work Havaianas and the "incredibly stylish and caring women who designed this collaboration" put into the project.

"The Havaianas for Baby Buggy Collection will help our organization continue to make strides in improving the lives of children and parents across the United States," she added.

The celebrities also seemed thrilled to be involved. Courtney Cox had the help of her seven-year-old daughter Coco, while Tori Spelling loved the opportunity to get creative for a cause. Both Nina Garcia and Rebecca Romijn look forward to wearing flip flops that match their twins'. Nina Garcia's not confident they can all agree on one color though! Rebecca Romijn's three-year-old daughters have just begun to wear flip flops, so the opportunity to wear matching pairs is proving irresistable.

The celebrity designed Havaianas sets launch is not so coincidentally timed to capture Mother's Day dollars. Look for them in stores from April 15.

Screen legend Catherine Deneuve has launched a small capsule collection of sunglasses for the spring and summer of 2012. There are six designs in all available through the actress' Catherine Deneuve Lunettes line, part of the Viva International Group.

Each frame can be converted into a pair of prescription sunglasses, making them extra versatile for the company's target market of women over the age of 55. The cfirm says this demographic is aware of trends but not driven by them. Instead these ladies look for classic elegance and timeless style. Much like Catherine Deneuve herself!

Catherine Deneuve Lunette's general manager Liz Tontodonati said her company recognized a gap in the market for sunglasses made for mature women that look good but don't cost a lot of money. The small range looks to fill that hole by capturing Deneuve's "style, elegance, and Joie de Vivre."

You don't need a Hollywood bank balance to indulge in these beauties either. They cost just $39.95 for the sunglasses, a protective hard case, and a cleaning cloth. What a bargain!

A few more choices would have been lovely, but for that sort of money I'm not about to quibble. Would you wear Catherine Deneuve sunglasses, or do you prefer more youthful designs?

Versace will release a new eyewear collection called Versace Etoile De La Mer, just in time for summer.

The high-end fashion house is tempting us already with this image from the Versace Etoile De La Mer advertising campaign. It takes something special to distract us from Gisele Bundchen's dazzling beauty, but these striking oversized sunglasses fit the bill. I love the amber tint and the contemporary accents along the bridge of the nose. The gleaming metallic decoration is mirrored in the sunglasses' intricate arms.

The Italian fashion label says it designed its new sunglasses to reflect a Versace siren making her way through the city during the sweltering summer heat. That makes the Brazilian beauty an appropriate choice to become the line's face, even if she does seem to be selling every high end product on the market at the moment. Company creative director Donatella Versace says she chose the model for her "bold" beauty.

"She radiates true strength and sensuality," Versace added.

I can't argue with that, although I'm almost getting sick of seeing Gisele in commercials. Isn't it about time the fashion industry found some fresh faces?

Look for the Versace Etoile De La Mer shades at your local Sunglass Hut outlet this April.

The capsule collections from Trina Turk just keep on coming. Hot on the heels of her Trina Turks and Caicos Collection for the Grace Bay Club Resort comes news of her latest line, a collaborative range designed with American leisurewear leader Banana Republic.

The 60-piece collection includes swimwear separates, beach towels and tote bags, and maxi-dresses and cut-off shorts for the times you're stepping away from the shore. The range's pricing is also more in keeping with Banana Republic's prices than Trina Turk costs. We can expect to pay around $60 for the beach towels while the bikini separates start from $58. Spending $120 on a pickering tote sounds a bit much to me, but I'll reserve judgment until I observe the carry-alls and their quality.

What I've seen of the collection seems like the perfect marriage of Banana Republic's safari style and Trina Turk's breezy Californian cool.

"We decided early on that the Palm Springs 'cocktails by the pool' lifestyle would be our key inspiration for the colors, styles, and prints," Turk explained.

Look for the Trina Turk for Banana Republic line in Banana Republic stores in America, Canada, Italy, France, Japan, Turkey, and South Korea this June. The retailer's online store will also dispense the goodies to customers in some 24 countries at the same time.

Trina Turk has created a summery new capsule collection exclusively for the Turks and Caicos resort, the Grace Bay Club.

The new line, cleverly dubbed the Trina Turks' and Caicos Collection, features mix-and-match bikini separates, a plunging one-piece swimsuit, an ankle-length maxi dress, and a kimono-sleeved tunic cover-up. There are nine items in all, including halter-neck and bandeau cut bikini pieces.

Each item in the limited edition collection is patterned with a distinctive print inspired by the Caribbean island's penchant for fun in the sun and the Grace Bay Club's sophistication.

The pattern didn't take Trina Turk too far out of her comfort zone. As a Californian, she told The Jet Set Girls blog that she's always been inspired by the coastline and its ocean.

"For the Grace Bay Club swimwear print, we combined the movement of the turquoise water with an accent of bright coral from the resort's Mediterranean architecture," she explained. "Our signature hardware in gold with white enamel captures the sparkle of the white sand beaches found throughout the Turks and Caicos Islands."

The new Trina Turks' and Caicos Collection is available at a range of prices, from $76 for a pair of bikini briefs to $204 for the maxi-dress. The capsule collection is available for a limited time from Trina Turk boutiques, including its online store, and The Grace Bay Club.

Topshop is celebrating a decade sponsoring the British Fashion Council's New Generation program (NEWGEN) with a new range of T-shirts designed by the initiative's most famous graduates.

NEWGEN was developed in 1993 to recognize and support new designing talent in Britain. The initiative helps designers finance their runway shows, and even offers them the opportunity to use the British Fashion Council Catwalk Show Space. It also sponsors presentation and exhibition space to help budding designers gain vital exposure to buyers and press.

NEWGEN alumni Christopher Kane, Mary Katrantzou, Marios Schwab, Richard Nicoll, and Erdem are amongst the big fashion names who've lent their talents to Topshop's new T-shirt project.

The limited edition T-shirts are bound to be popular, so I'm thrilled to see Topshop refusing to line its own pockets with the profits. Instead it'll donate the lot to Centrepoint, a British charity dedicated to helping homeless youth.

The T-shirts are sure to be a hot item during London Fashion Week. They'll go on sale during the style festival, which runs from February 17 to 21. Look for them at regular Topshop stores in the United Kingdom, its pop-up shop in London's Selfridges, the retailer's online store, and the NEWGEN space at Somerset House.

Chloe recently inked a deal with Marchon, who will manufacture and distribute a range of sunglasses and optical eyewear for the French fashion house.

The agreement is a real coup for Marchon. The company's far from a household name, but with licenses for labels like Emilio Pucci, Valentino, Calvin Klein, Karl Lagerfeld, Salvatore Ferragamo and more it's only a matter of time. The business is certainly proving it’s got what it takes to please fashion's big guns, so it cant be too long before consumers take notice.

Marchon's president and chief executive officer Claudio Gottardi said the partnership with Chloe is "exciting" for his firm.

"The dedicated Chloe consumer appreciates luxurious sunwear and eyewear and we are looking forward to leveraging the brand DNA as we translate the delicate femininity from the ready-to-wear to our new collection," he explained.

The Chloe glasses will celebrate the French fashion house's femininity while offering the latest technical eyewear advancements. Marchon will look to Chloe's ready to wear collection for inspiration, so the shades should be easy to pair with your favorite Chloe outfits and accessories.

It's just a shame that the new collection won't hit stores before the Northern Hemisphere's summer. Look for the shades and spectacles at Chloe boutiques, high end department and specialty stores, and leading optical outlets around the world this September.

La Perla celebrates the swinging sixties with its spring/summer 2012 collection.

The new range actually features three lines which each represent a different side of the decade. There's the pop art influenced Warhol, Mondrian & Co, the Hollywood stylings of Bon Ton Sixties, and the freedom of expression found in Chic Sauvage.

The sixties was known as the era of flower power, so it's only fitting to see many of the new La Perla swimsuits decorated with oversized blooms. The geometric lines and bold colors recall the work of Dutch painter Piet Mondrian. Animal prints never truly slip out of vogue, but they enjoyed great popularity in the sixties. So it seems appropriate to see snake-like scales on the swimsuits and even the images of antelopes on the silky kaftans. La Perla finishes its new designs with feminine frills, pleats, and tassels.

It takes a special skill to create a range that pays tribute to a decade of the past, yet looks modern and youthful. To do so across three separate lines so consistently, and with such a clear cohesive vision, is even more impressive. La Perla's new swim range will hit stores around the world in the coming months.

Council of Fashion Designers of America award winner Eugenia Kim looks to elevate the humble baseball cap to high end fashion statement through her new collaboration with Timo Weiland.

Weiland commissioned the acclaimed milliner to create a capsule collection of wide brimmed baseball caps. The hats feature seven of Timo Weiland signature colorful patterns, which he says were inspired by the art of Jean-Michael Basquiat. During Basquiat's time in Hawaii he began to paint with the blues of the ocean, the white and beige of the sand, the tropical greens, fuchsias, and tangerines he saw in the island's foliage, and the deep blues of the night sky.

Weiland added that his "vibrant prints and colors, combined with our playful, optimistic silhouettes gave way for the perfect partnership with Eugenia's quirky sense of style."

I'm not sure anything is truly perfect, but there's a lot to like about this collaboration. I've never been a great fan of wearing baseball caps on the beach as they don't offer the same level of sun protection that wide brimmed hats do. But the unusual brim we see here is making me change my tune. Notice how the image shows the cap protecting the sensitive skin of the ears and around the eyes. I love it when fashion is smart as well as stylish!

As with so many designer collaborations the biggest stumbling block is the price. At $195 these hats are significantly more expensive than the average baseball cap, so you'll have to be utterly smitten to indulge.

A charity T-shirt will be part of Marni's forthcoming diffusion line for Swedish department chain H&M. The playful tee pictured will be amongst the items hitting H&M stores on March 8.

I can't say I'm a fan of the childish sketch drawing which Marni describes as "full of charm and optimism." However the cause the T-shirt supports is one we can all get behind.

A significant 25% of the T-shirts sales will benefit the Red Cross' vital work in Japan. The T-shirts will be released somewhere around the one-year anniversary of the tsunami and earthquake that devastated the Asian nation. It might seem this fundraising effort is a bit belated, but there's still much to be done to repair the country and rebuild the lives of the natural disaster's victims. When so many fashion labels have moved on from Japan it's refreshing to see Marni continuing the fundraising efforts.

The unisex T-shirt will be available for just £19.99, so we can all afford to get behind the charity efforts. However with a price like that, I don't expect the tees to last long. If you want to wear one on the beach this summer I suggest getting in to one of the 260 H&M stores worldwide, or logging on to the H&M website, bright and early on March 8.
