The term "pants" seems like a bit of a misnomer when we're dealing with such a small scrap of fabric. They're barely more than briefs! We certainly don't enjoy the modesty that swim pants generally provide, so I hope you feel comfortable about your body!

If you do want to flaunt it though, these Goddess Eva Skirted Pants are a pretty cute way to do it. The tight box pleats are a darling way to dress up the dark blue briefs. Those pleats offer a little extra coverage in the rear, but not enough to hide a few extra winter pounds!

Anyone who does have the figure for it will enjoy the quality of these briefs. Seafolly is one of Australia's leading swimwear brands, and anyone working in that country knows a thing of two about the beach. The dash of elastane in the fabric makes it flexible and comfortable, while the meryl nylon base is made to last.

It will require hand washing to keep its shape and colors true, but it's worth the effort to protect your $81 investment. That's quite expensive for a pair of bikini bottoms, but their timeless style of makes them worth the splurge.

Trina Turks’ and Caicos Swim Collection | Capsule Line for Grace Bay Club Resort

Trina Turk has created a summery new capsule collection exclusively for the Turks and Caicos resort, the Grace Bay Club.

The new line, cleverly dubbed the Trina Turks' and Caicos Collection, features mix-and-match bikini separates, a plunging one-piece swimsuit, an ankle-length maxi dress, and a kimono-sleeved tunic cover-up. There are nine items in all, including halter-neck and bandeau cut bikini pieces.

Each item in the limited edition collection is patterned with a distinctive print inspired by the Caribbean island's penchant for fun in the sun and the Grace Bay Club's sophistication.

The pattern didn't take Trina Turk too far out of her comfort zone. As a Californian, she told The Jet Set Girls blog that she's always been inspired by the coastline and its ocean.

"For the Grace Bay Club swimwear print, we combined the movement of the turquoise water with an accent of bright coral from the resort's Mediterranean architecture," she explained. "Our signature hardware in gold with white enamel captures the sparkle of the white sand beaches found throughout the Turks and Caicos Islands."

The new Trina Turks' and Caicos Collection is available at a range of prices, from $76 for a pair of bikini briefs to $204 for the maxi-dress. The capsule collection is available for a limited time from Trina Turk boutiques, including its online store, and The Grace Bay Club.

Robin Piccone Penelope Bikini | Modern Black Banded Halter-Neck Swim Top

Robin Piccone challenges the notion that black bikinis are basic and boring with this Penelope swim top.

There's an awful lot going on here. The triangle shaped cups are overlaid with crocheted fabric, which extends down to create a narrow band underneath. I love the subtle texture the crocheted finish creates, and the way our skin peeks out from beneath the fabric band. Abalone shell buttons also pop against the dark fabric. In choosing to place the buttons along one side of the bikini Robin Piccone's helped the Penelope feel youthful and fresh.

What you see is what you get here. There are no hidden extras or details that exceed our expectations. Robin Piccone's selling style above all else, but she's selling it well.

I love the dark gothic feel of the Penelope in black, but the blush alternative hasn't impressed me. The pale pink is frankly insipid, which isn't what we want for $94. That price is standard for high end designer swimwear, but it still stings when you need to buy the briefs too!

I can't imagine middle-aged sun lovers will enjoy Robin Piccone's modern details, but they may make younger girls reconsider wearing black on the beach.

JWoww Releases Tan-Line Free Bikini | “Jersey Shore” Star’s Technologically Advanced Swimsuit

Jersey Shore star Jenni "JWoww" Farley has put her name to an innovative bikini line called the PerfectTanBikini. With this bikini the reality starlet and her pals can skip the tanning salon and enjoy line-free tanning on the beach.

These barely there bikinis appear more like pasties than swimsuits. The top is lined with a silicon based adhesive called Stick2U, which helps it hold directly to your skin. The technologically-advanced glue is activated by body temperature, so as the mercury soars it holds even firmer.

It sounds like Stick2U might be the key to avoiding any embarrassing wardrobe malfunctions, but I'm still not convinced. What happens if you want to cool off in the icy cold ocean? The team behind the PerfectTanBikini claims the adhesive is waterproof, but if you get chilly in the waves I'm not sure whether that's enough. And on a scorching day, how do you remove the swimsuit when you leave the beach?

The concept might be revolutionary, but the creators have forgotten longevity. Where a traditional bikini will last for several seasons, this one is only suitable for wearing around 10 to 15 times.

While fashion lovers in the Northern Hemisphere are feeling the chill, folks in Australia are getting ready to hit the beach. To celebrate the start of summer Down Under, model Sheridyn Fisher has launched a brand new swimwear collection.

Eight models took to the catwalk at Sydney's Piano nightclub to showcase the sexy new season Sheridyn Swim bikinis, one-piece suits, and beach dresses. The pieces are ultra feminine, with soft ruffles, pretty bows, and plunging necklines. The color palette is classic with monochromatic hues and metallic shades dominating.

Sheridyn Swim has gone from strength to strength since its debut collection launched in 2010. Today its eBay store sells more than a million dollars worth of swimwear each summer, making it the highest selling swim boutique on the auction site.

While many of those sales come from Fisher's homeland, the swimsuits are also proving popular with American audiences, including some of the model's famous friends. Fisher told The Central Coast Express-Advocate that the bunnies of the Playboy Mansion "adored" her creations when she showed them off on a recent American jaunt.

With prices starting at $49.90, you happily don't need a famous sugar daddy to indulge in the swimsuits. They're available to order from the Sheridyn Swim website.

A pop of neon color helps this Crackle Cossie from Insight shine on the shore.

The Crackle Cossie gets its name from the crackly speckled pattern on this swimsuit. I love the way the almost fluorescent pink contrasts with the black mottling. The effect takes me back to my youth. The 80s are enjoying a fashion revival, so the finish seems both retro and of the moment. The print is dramatic, but the Crackle Cossie's cut is so simple that it appears interesting but not overwhelming.

I wouldn't call the cut scandalous, but it's certainly designed to show off a bit of skin. The triangle top is generous, but the shoestring straps highlight a sun-kissed summer tan. The string bikini briefs also offer plenty of coverage, but the large ties at the sides are designed to attract attention. This Crackle Cossie shows just enough without making us feel self conscious.

At $54.95 this bikini is very affordable. That price usually buys only the top, but here the briefs are also included. By packaging them together the sizing might not be quite right for top-heavy or pear-shaped princesses, but if you can usually buy off the rack you'll enjoy a bargain.

Ujena's created some of the sexiest swimsuits on the market, so I was surprised to see the label taking a more conservative path with this Mediterranean Skirted Bikini.

While much of Ujena's range seems aimed at teens and twentysomethings, this Mediterranean looks to capture an older market. It's still a two-piece, but it doesn't reveal as much skin as the average bikini. Its top has generous coverage, and the skirted bottom seems designed to hide cellulite and the few extra pounds that stubbornly refuse to leave our thighs.

This swimsuit isn't simply about hiding problem areas; it also looks to make the most of our assets. The underwire that runs underneath the bust maximizes curves just like the very best bra.

The padding inside the cups is also removable, so you can leave it in our take it out to suit your figure. And as always, Ujena's mix-and-match policy ensures you can create the right two-piece for your body.

My only hesitation is that floral print. Florals might generally be timeless, but this one already seems dated. If it feels old now, I hate to think how it might appear after a few summers. If you're not concerned with being fashion forward though, you might see value here.

Ujena makes the most of our curves with this figure-flattering Underwire Brazilian Bikini.

This swimsuit is made just like the very best lingerie, with soft padding in the cups and underwire underneath to give curves a lift. Underwire is never the most comfortable addition, but it's worth a little pain for an amazingly enhanced figure I think!

This Brazilian Bikini's style is simple but classic. The top's halter style ties at the neck and back, and the basic briefs have a bit more coverage than the average pair of Brazilian bottoms. If you've got a real Latin American booty you may want to order a size above your usual though, as the briefs tend to run a little small. Thankfully Ujena allows you to mix and match the tops and bottoms, so you can find the perfect fit for your shape.

The range of matte colors is ideal for summer. There's basic black for the traditionalists, but I prefer the more cheerful yellow, red, and orange hues. They're playful but because there's no print they shouldn't date.

That's a good thing because at $118.50 for the set, you'll want to get your money's worth. That's not exactly expensive by designer standards, but it's also not very cheap either. But then again, nothing of quality ever is!
