The Mommy and Me flip flops are affordably priced at $26 for the adult pairs and $19 for the complementary kids shoes. Ten percent of the sales will benefit Baby Buggy, a charity which provides families with the clothes, education services, and other items essentials for taking children from infants to teenagers.

Baby Buggy's executive director Katherine Snider said she was grateful for the work Havaianas and the "incredibly stylish and caring women who designed this collaboration" put into the project.

"The Havaianas for Baby Buggy Collection will help our organization continue to make strides in improving the lives of children and parents across the United States," she added.

The celebrities also seemed thrilled to be involved. Courtney Cox had the help of her seven-year-old daughter Coco, while Tori Spelling loved the opportunity to get creative for a cause. Both Nina Garcia and Rebecca Romijn look forward to wearing flip flops that match their twins'. Nina Garcia's not confident they can all agree on one color though! Rebecca Romijn's three-year-old daughters have just begun to wear flip flops, so the opportunity to wear matching pairs is proving irresistable.

The celebrity designed Havaianas sets launch is not so coincidentally timed to capture Mother's Day dollars. Look for them in stores from April 15.

While the shoes feature the beloved Japanese children's character, the styles should suit modern women. There are flip flops, sandals, and wedges for the beach, shearling-lined boots, sneakers, and ballet flats for hitting the city streets, and even a set of galoshes for rainy days. Each pair of shoes features Hello Kitty signatures including her recognizable feline face and adorable red bows.

Twenty10 Footwear has opted for vegan materials rather than genuine leather and real skins. The fabrics do their best impersonations of real leather, suede, and patent. I'm always a bit skeptical of man-made materials Twenty10 assures us the materials are first rate. Alain Malka explained that decision was necessary to pay "Hello Kitty all the respect" is could. "We are proud to say our product is just the right amount of kawaii that will bring a smile to anyone's face," he added.

Twenty10 Footwear's Hello Kitty line starts at $20 for the flip flops and tops $110 for the equestrian-inspired rain boots. It will be available at specialty stores across America including Sanrio boutiques and the Sanrio website.

The comments center on the sandals' practical nature rather than their pizzazz. If I wasn't so intrigued by the five-star rating I probably would have passed them by. I guess the pop of blue-green is fun, but the Zilch will still never win any beauty contests.

They're ugly ducklings, who sadly will stay that way, but on wearing them you discover their beauty. The rubber soles and synthetic materials are both very flexible, which makes these shoes perfect for runs along the shoreline or a game of beach volleyball. In fact, many customers say they prefer these lightweight shoes to their regular trainers! They're so light that you almost feel like you're running barefoot, although the heavy tread on the shock-absorbing soles give the game away.

The minimalist styling is quite comfortable, but the toe loop is a bit of an acquired taste. While it keeps your foot secure in the shoe some people report that the loop bothers them. Perhaps these are the kinds of shoes best tried on before making a commitment, even if they are an affordable $80.

These fun flip flops come with their own cute carry pouch, which can be conveniently stashed inside your briefcase or chic everyday tote. If the day's getting you down it's no trouble to simply slip off your stilettos and slide into these more comfortable sandals.

The Fold and Go flip flops don't have the same level of sophistication, although they do have a certain amount of casual style. I really like the subtlety of the pale candy pink and white stripes, although the shoes are also available in a more dramatic black and white stripe, or all-over pink if you prefer. The soft fabric covered sole should feel heavenly against your feet, especially since it's ergonomically padded with EVA.

The canvas carry pouch is another real plus, especially at this price point. The design is so endearing, with its fun flamingo and bird of paradise plant, that it seems a shame to hide it away. I think I'd empty it out as use it as a clutch on casual summer evenings out.

The only real downside I can see is Reef's failure to offer half sizes. Flip flops can be a little more forgiving than regular shoes, but it's still a shame that many of us will have to wear ones that are slightly too big or too small.

Even if its sizing isn't ideal, Reef's certainly offering value for our $34.

The original espadrilles had a flat design but Tommy Hilfiger has made these Pyrenees shoes more modern by adding a three and a half inch heel. The wedge design should offer more support than a traditional high heel, but it'll probably still hurt your feet at the end of the day.

But what's a little pain for a pair of shoes this cute? The details are lovely here, from the perky bow on the front to the rope wrapped wedge at the back. The denim-looking blue bow is a great complement to the heel strap. It also sets off the sweet floral material crossing our toes. The accents work together to create a finish that's casual and feminine, perfect for time spent on the sand and at a beachside bar once the sun goes down.

The Kelly espadrilles are quite affordable at $69.95, particularly considering their versatile design. But remember my warnings if you're intending to wear them from dawn until dusk. Stashing a simple pair of ballet flats in your beach tote could save your feet twinging as the sun sets!

The playful hand-woven straps are what makes these flip flops really special. They're made using the same techniques that Mayan women have passed down to their children for centuries. Reef hasn't stolen these methods though; it's teamed up with non-profit group Nest, who gets a percentage of the profits from every pair sold. This money then helps the traditional artisans who create them.

Threads tie the straps at regular intervals, creating cute bunches along their length. The flirty sense of fun is only heightened by the choice of colors. I'm particularly partial to this pink and purple combo, but there's also a turquoise option if you prefer something less girly. Both versions complement the classic brown foot beds, so the choice is yours.

These foot beds are fairly simple, but they do have a slight arch built in for comfort. Despite that cushioning though, it's worth noting that the rubber soles are very thin. They'll be fine for strolling from your car to the shore, but they won't absorb the shock of a seaside run or game of beach volleyball.

We wouldn't expect that sort of performance from a pair of $42 flip flops though. For that price we get a cute pair of beach shoes with a bit of tribal flair, which is really all we can expect for the money.

The combination of silver metal and black leather is always eye-popping, conjuring up images of rebellious biker chicks and rock and roll outlaws. Square metal studs decorate the leather strip which makes it way up our feet, complementing the chunky buckle at our ankle.

The ankle strap gives the Sanjiv a bit more security, an unexpected practical perk in a pair of shoes that seem all about style.

It's not the only functional feature though. The heel measures 1.25 inches, just high enough to add style without putting too much pressure on the balls of our feet. The toe thong post is made of soft leather and rounded for maximum comfort. The footbed is made of synthetic, but it's also ergonomically cushioned.

These are the kind of sandals that would turn heads at the beach, and not look out of place at a nightclub or bar. They seem perfect for making the day to night transition, but I'm not sure your feet will hold up if you do. While customers say they're comfortable for short stints, they're not so forgiving after a few hours. Their $79.95 price tag is certainly warranted for their quality, but perhaps not if you have sensitive feet.

There's no getting around it; these flip flops are pretty ugly. The large buckle only makes the wide straps appear even chunkier. They're far from feminine, especially since we can only choose between black and pewter. They're the kind of shoes most of us would never slip on our feet, but you know what they say about judging books by their covers.

What the Gracias lacks in grace it makes up for in comfort. The straps are made of buttery leather, and the sole lined with soft suede. This sole has built in cushioning too to absorb the shocks when you're walking or jogging along the shore. It's got only the slightest of heels too, so we don't feel any undue pressure on the balls of our feet. Flip these flip flops over and you'll see the traction-patterned outsole, which works like the tread of a car tire to keep you upright.

At least taking a chance on these flip flops will cost you just $39. That's not a lot to pay for comfortable shoes, no matter how unattractive they look!

Flip flops tend to be pretty casual affair, but these ones are more sophisticated than the average. Metallic leather is always a fun after five choice, especially when it's dressed up with amber jewels. I'm not suggesting you should take them to a fancy soiree, but they'd certainly look the part at a pool party or casual restaurant. And if bronze isn't your color you can choose from five other alternatives including matte black and white and metallic silver and pink. While I think bronze is the pick it's always lovely to have a few options.

While these Chlementine flip flops are designed to turn heads, they're also really smart. The three-quarter inch heel adds just enough style without sacrificing comfort. The grippy diamond-patterned rubber soles ensure you stay upright on slippery pool decks or other wet surfaces. The soft suede footbeds have cushy memory foam inlays to ensure they're comfortable even at the end of a long day.

It's rare to find a pair of flip flops that are so functional and fierce. It's even rarer to see them priced affordably. At $59 these beach shoes are a real bargain.

It shouldn't come as any great surprise that UGG would know its way around a pair of flip flops. Its Down Under homeland is lousy with beaches, and that country's warm weather makes flip flops a wardrobe staple for much of the year. Having said that, the Kailanis are far from the pinnacle of flip flop design.

At their heart, the Kailanis are a very basic pair of flip flops. They're made from a mix of EVA and TPU rubber, which is lightweight and tough. However it's less than luxurious, and not the most comfortable material to wear when the mercury soars. Rubber and sweat don't mix; instead you'll find the flip flops pinching as they rub against your skin.

There are some nice touches though. I really like the cut-out flowers adorning the straps, and the way these blooms are mimicked on the footbeds. These have hidden memory foam inserts for extra support while you're walking on the boardwalk or the sand.

The black Kailanis are a classic choice, but you'll also find the design in Medieval Blue. Both versions are available for a reasonably affordable $35.
