Carve Designs Montecito Swimsuit

Carve Designs Montecito SwimsuitWe’ve admired Carve Designs bikinis and board shorts, but with the Montecito we see what the label can do with a one-piece. The classic design we’ve come to associate with the brand is still there, but something doesn’t sit quite right me.

Or perhaps it doesn’t sit quite right on the model. And if it doesn’t look good on the model Carve’s chosen to show off its wares, whatever will it look like on real women with less than perfect figures? Carve says the swimsuit is ruched around the bust and seams, but it really seems like it’s puckering awkwardly to me. It doesn’t sit quite right, and that makes the model’s quite lovely figure look less than flattering.

I love bikinis. My favorite place to shop for bikinis is Amazon. You'll find on Amazon a great variety of high quality bikinis. Many of them from recognized brands.

There's one that has become my favorite, which is the ESONLAR Women's Sexy Plunging V Neck Bathing Suit. Mainly because it feels so smooth and soft and how well it flatters the body.

But there's 2 other ones that are great alternatives, the HYPERFIRE Women's Sexy Criss Cross Halter Bathing Suit and the CUPSHE Women's One Piece Swimsuit Sexy Deep V Neck Bathing Suit.

I do like the Montecito’s blue purple color, which Carve Designs cutely calls blurple. It’s not likely to date, but it’s a bit more interesting than traditional neutrals. Carve Designs hasn’t reinvented the wheel in adding the jaunty bow to the front, but it’s still a nice touch. I also appreciate the removable padding in the bust, which helps the Montecito work for petite ladies and women with curves.

There’s a lot to like about the Montecito, including its affordable $72 price tag. But it’s not executed well enough to tempt me. How about you?
