Simple but chic, these Monika flip flops from Banana Republic can add style to your beach ensemble without compromising on comfort.
Flip flops are traditionally relaxed affairs, but this pair has a little more class than the average. Soft metallic leather strands are knotted together near your toes to create a look which is casually charming. It's such a simple idea, but it helps these flip flops look elegant enough to wear away from the beach. It's also got just a hint of a heel; this is enough to add high-class style but not enough to cause you to totter as you walk along the sand.
The Monika's appeal goes beyond the superficial though. Its sole is made from a flexible rubber outer overlaid with a breathable synthetic lining. This surface is packed with memory foam and a cushioned insole for the comfiest fit all day.
It's rare to find a pair of flip flops which gives us so much for such little money. My only complaint is the limited range of colors on offer. While this subdued metallic silver is lovely, a few more choices would help us really coordinate our summer wardrobes. After all, with a $20 price tag I'd happily snap up a few more!
