The beach is generally a pretty, preppy stomping ground and there's not a lot of swimwear out there for more rock and roll styles. But this glam, gold-studded strapless suit from Melissa Odabash is chic and stylish and a little bit edgy. Great for girls who aren't into stripes and flowers, but are sick of basic black.

This may be a one piece, but there's not a lot of room to hide flab, especially love handles or un-toned shoulders and arms. If you just want to hide a bit of a tummy, this might provide the perfect camouflage. A gold-tone clasp fastens in the back like a bikini-top and the bottom is fairly low.

A high-leg cut will help lengthen shorter stems, and there is medium butt-coverage. This suit could be at risk for beach wedgie - fair warning.

Another beach body fear - popping out - should also be taken into consideration. A strapless suit is probably best for medium-busted girls. If you're too small on top you might not be able to hold the suit up, but too big and there could be spillage. Not attractive either way.

Videos began to surface a few days ago of girls taking to the streets of New York in their bikinis. I have no idea of the reason that these leggy ladies were commuting in swimwear but it certainly made some passersby very happy!

The girls were seen from inside Grand Central Station right up to midtown Manhattan. Many girls were mixing their beachwear with office wear sporting handbags and office jackets while dressed in hot pants and bikini bottoms.

This micro bikini top is from Roma Bikinis and is is made up of stretchy braid lycra fabric and is available in just one size with minimal bust coverage.

This bikini is only for those girls that don't mind exposing a little extra for maximum tanning. It has triangular cups that provide some support while maintaining limited coverage for maximum tanning. This is accompanied by a thin halter-neck tie string.

I wouldn't recommend this for girls with large breasts due to the small cup size and limited support, but would be perfect for petite to medium thin builds.

We all know that volleyball is the sport of choice on the beach, even George W. Bush is a keen fan of the sport!

Here's an advert that is prepared to push the boundaries and have a little fun. I can just see a seven year old watching this ad asking his mum why the women are so excited about bushes.

The ad is for the new Wilkinson Schick Quattro bikini razors and it has aired in the U.K in a filthy but funny fashion. It hasn't been broadcast in the U.S  either being deemed unsuitable for a U.S audience by Wilkinson or has just been banned by authorities.
